History
Pigs are incredible creatures and full of surprises. For instance, pigs are often thought of as slow, plodding creatures, but they can run a mile in seven minutes. They are considered dirty, yet they keep their homes clean by making their toilet area as far as possible from where they sleep and eat. The largest domestic pig ever recorded weighed over 2000 pounds, while a typical domestic pig tops out a little over 500 pounds. Pigs normally live around 6 years, but the oldest pig recorded made it to 22.
